Argania or Argan is a tree with thorny branches, hence its name Argania spinosa. It grows in southern Morocco and its oil has always been used by Berber women for the beauty of their skin and hair. Due to its high percentage of linoleic and oleic acids, Argan oil is very emollient and elasticizing. It strongly stimulates cell renewal.
Recent studies have shown a high content of antioxidants, such as vitamin E, which is present in twice the amount of olive oil. This makes Argan oil excellent in anti-wrinkle and anti-stretch mark treatment. Also good for dry, brittle hair and brittle nails. It is also used for decontracting and rejuvenating massages. Argan oil stimulates intracellular oxygenation and protects connective tissues.
