Jojoba Oil

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba vegetable oil, available in two different formats.

Description

It comes from pressing the seeds of Simmondsia chinensis, a plant that grows in Central and North America. Native Americans have used it for centuries to soothe tissue irritation and mucosal inflammation. It is more correct to call it liquid wax; in fact, it contains no triglycerides but is rich in unsaturated fats, wax esters, vitamin E, B vitamins, and numerous minerals. Stable to heat and shrinkage. The structure of its lipids makes it very similar to human sebum, so it is easily arranged between the cells of the epidermis, is absorbed bringing nourishment, supporting skin PH balance, protecting the skin, and conveying the substances with which it is mixed.

The presence of many antioxidants allows it to preserve the skin from aging (also great for the eye area and decollete), while its penetrating ability allows it to soften blackheads by stimulating their exit during squeezing. Excellent for preventing irritation and restoring the hydrolipidic film that can fail with the use of harsh cleansers, sunlamps or little skin hydration. It can also be used to nourish and brighten hair and to regularize scalp sebum production. It is great as an after-sun and on minor sunburns. It helps the skin regenerate and is therefore suitable for revitalizing and making the skin silky, preventing stretch marks, and soothing issues such as psoriasis, scaling, acne, itching, and eczema. On babies, it can be applied as an oil after bathing all over the body and at diaper changes to prevent skin redness.

For use on all skin types, especially aging, dry, inflamed and sensitive skin, acne-prone, dermatitis-prone, skin with excess sebum (oily scalp and hair); special on dry and brittle hair ends; excellent for maintaining a tan.
